JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) said that the public can now buy bulk cooking oil at the highest retail price (HET) of Rp. 14,000 to 10 liters per person.

"Well, even now, Mr. Secretary General Mr. Oke (Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade, Oke Nurwan) is the one who has the responsibility. We are now allowed to (buy bulk cooking oil) the public, yesterday we only bought one ID card for 2 liters, now we can buy 10 liters for one KTP," Zulhas said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 23.

Zulhas said the new policy was taken to help the community, especially MSME players, not to find it difficult to meet the needs of bulk cooking oil in running their business.

"It's also okay if you buy 1 liter, if you take it down the aisle to the RT, there's a small shop, it can be made into 100 milliliters, 200 milliliters, yes. Yes, it's a little bit of luck," he said. Zulhas, on Monday, June 27, will invite businessmen and oil producers to discuss the plan to convert bulk cooking oil into simple packaging.

"Later on, the public, ladies and gentlemen, when shopping at the supermarket, there is cooking oil that costs Rp. 14,000 with the brand Oil Kita issued by the Ministry of Trade. The price is Rp. 14,000, the packaging is good, it can be gradually found in supermarkets," he said. he.

Zulhas promised to try to stabilize the price of bulk cooking oil within two weeks, from the original target of one month.

"Brothers and sisters, it's Thursday, my week. I promised a month target, but I believe in two weeks, the price of bulk cooking oil of Rp. 14,000 is stable, safe, everywhere, for two weeks," he said.
