JAKARTA - PT Semen Padang, a member of the Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) exports 416,379 Metric Tons (MT) of cement and clinker to the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. The record runs throughout January-May 2022

SIG Group Head of Sales Juhans Suryantan said that the type of cement exported to the Maldives and Sri Lanka was OPC (42.5N), while clinker was exported to Bangladesh.

He detailed that cement exports to the Maldives were 41,103 MT and to Sri Lanka 166,934 MT, while clinker exports to Bangladesh were 208,352 MT.

Juhans hopes that cement and clinker exports by PT Semen Padang can continue to be increased, in order to realize the 2022 export target.

"Semen Padang must be able to repeat the positive trend achieved in 2021. For that, we from SIG hope that PT Semen Padang improves export performance," Juhans said in a statement quoted by Antara, Monday, June 20.

Meanwhile, SIG's Senior Manager of Export Sales, Fifit Abriyanto, explained that the export performance of PT Semen Padang in the May 2022 period for cement was realized to Sri Lanka as much as 9,130 MT and the Maldives 7,102 MT.
