Revenue Grows And Successfully Implements Efficiency, Pelindo II Subsidiary Prints Profit Of IDR 35.26 Billion In First Quarter Of This Year

JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal Tbk (IPCC) generated a profit of IDR 35.26 billion in the first three months of this year. This figure is up 97.1 percent from the same period last year of IDR 17.89 billion.

IPCC Corporate Secretary Sofyan Gumelar said that the achievement of the increase in profit was inseparable from the increase in revenue which grew by 25.12 percent. Its value increased from IDR 119.92 billion to IDR 150.05 billion.

"The increase was supported by an increase in terminal services, which contributed 92.51 percent of the revenue share in line with the rampant loading and unloading of vehicles at the IPCC Terminal throughout the first quarter of 2021, especially from the increase in the number of loading and unloading heavy vehicles," said Sofyan in his statement, Tuesday, June 7.

Efficiency also contributed to the increase in the profit of this subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) or Indonesia Port Corporation (IPC). Especially seen from the decrease in cost of revenue by 6.81 percent to IDR 71.78 billion from the previous period of IDR 77.03 billion.

This includes general and administrative expenses, which fell 7.31 percent from IDR 26.19 billion to IDR 24.28 billion.

Sofyan added, the company's efforts to streamline costs where all operational activities are carried out efficiently by arranging shifts for operational activities and other activities.

"Cost regulation by sorting out must-have-cost and nice-to-have costs so that supervision of cost-budget control is also able to reduce the cost burden. Although the decrease is not too significant, the company continues to carry out this effort to maintain the burden position so that there is no significant increase in costs. which in the end can erode income," Sofyan added.

On the other hand, the efforts to implement digitalization in every business activity of the Company make the flow of cargo, flow of documents, and the flow of money run more efficiently.
