BPH Migas And PGN Carry Out Pick-up Test For Gas Jars In The Central Java-East Java Area

JAKARTA - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH) carried out a Working Visit to PGN Subholding Gas Pertamina, Sales Operation Regional III for Central, East, & Balinusa (PGN SOR III). One of the activities during the visit was to carry out a Pick-up Test to see the public's interest and purchasing power for natural gas products distributed through PGN's natural gas network for the household (RT) and small customer (PK) segments.

The picking test in the PGN SOR III area will be carried out in the City of Surabaya, Gresik Regency, Mojokerto City, Sidoarjo Regency and Semarang City.

General Manager of PGN SOR III Edi Armawiria explained that PGN is developing household and small customer networks through the Non-APBN Jargas program to support the achievement of the target of 1 million House Connections (SR) and optimizing the use of natural gas for other sectors to support the use of environmentally friendly clean energy. during the current energy transition.

In line with this, PGN is canvassing the upper-middle market for non-APBN jargas programs and new jargas products with additional services.

"PGN and BPH Migas jointly conducted a Pick Test to review public interest in non-APBN jargas. Through this activity, BPH Migas also ensures that the distribution of natural gas in the East Java region can be right on target and the community can receive benefits from natural gas," said Edi during the Plural Test with BPH Migas, quoted from a written statement, Friday, June 3.

"In the interest-picking activity, BPH Migas will provide insight into opportunities to synergize with several other institutions so that competitiveness can run positively," said Wahyudi Anas as the BPH Migas Committee.

According to Wahyudi, the basis for the implementation of the gas pipeline development is the RPJMN. Through PGN's non-APBN jargas, the Government hopes that its development will be maximized so that it can provide added value to the community.

In Central Java and East Java, PGN SOR 3 has managed 150,450 household customers with a customer distribution area covering Kab. Bojonegoro, Kab. Lamongan, Kab. Blora, Semarang City, Magelang City, Mojokerto City, Kab. Mojokerto, Kab. Sidoarjo, Kab. Jombang, Kab. Gresik, Surabaya City, Pasuruan City, Kab. Pasuruan, Kab. Probolinggo, and Probolinggo City.

The development of 1 million household jargas by PGN as Pertamina's Gas Subholding is expected to achieve the target and the community can receive practical, safe, environmentally friendly benefits, and guaranteed 24/7 supply.
