JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) noted that the realization of People's Business Credit (KUR) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) until April 2022 reached Rp1.36 trillion.

"The distribution of NTT KUR until April 2022 has reached Rp1.36 trillion for 37,463 debtors," said Head of the NTT Province DJPb Regional Office, Catur Ariyanto Widodo, quoted from Antara, Thursday.

He said this was related to the development of KUR distribution to support the economic growth of the people in NTT.

Nationally, he said, NTT ranks 22nd in the total value of KUR distribution.

The largest KUR distribution was in the Kupang City area with a realization of IDR 140.98 billion, while the largest number of debtors was in Ende Regency as many as 4,142 debtors.

Based on the distribution scheme, the largest is the micro scheme with a total value of Rp. 912.67 billion for 26,566 debtors.

Catur encourages banks in NTT to continue to increase the distribution of KUR to expand access to financing for the community of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

In addition, ultra-micro financing is channeled by non-banking institutions such as PT Permodalan Nasional Madani, Pegadaian and Mitra Dhuafa Cooperatives.

In the distribution of KUR, he said, the source of funds came from banks and the government provided interest subsidies so as to ease the community.

Meanwhile, the source of funds for the distribution of ultra-micro KUR fully comes from the government.

"This credit distribution is expected to continue to grow rapidly as one of the instruments to drive NTT's economic growth," he said.
