Dunkin Donut Finally Pays THR To Employees After 2 Years In Arrears

JAKARTA - Dunkin' Donut under the auspices of PT Dunkindo Leatari (DL) has agreed to pay Holiday Allowances (THR) in 2021 and 2022 to its employees.

This is in line with the achievement of a Collective Agreement (PB) between the management of PT Dunkindo Leatari (DL) and the Dunkindo Lestari Workers Union (SP KINTARI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

The agreement reached on the industrial relations dispute was marked by the signing of the PB by HRD Manager DL Djenede Jahya with the General Chairperson of SP Kintari, Adi Darmawan, witnessed by the Director of Institutional and Industrial Relations Dispute Prevention (KPPHI), Directorate General of PHI and Social Security, Heru Widianto on Monday , May 23, 2022.

The Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security for Workers, Indah Anggoro Putri, said that according to the direction of the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, her party was following up by conducting a dialogue between the company and the trade union with the Industrial Relations Mediator so that an agreement was reached as outlined in the PB.

Based on the PB facilitated by the Ministry of Manpower, Indah said, the DL agreed to pay the THR in 2021 and 2022.

"THR 2021 will be paid on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 and THR 2022 will be paid on Friday, July 1, 2022," he said in a written statement, quoted on Tuesday, May 24.

According to the Decree of the Minister of Manpower M/1/HK.04/IV/2022 dated April 6, 2022, THR is a worker's right and an employer's obligation. The Minister of Manpower Ida Faziyah has also appealed to companies to pay THR according to the provisions and the Ministry of Manpower has overseen the implementation of the payment of Religious THR.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of ASPEK Indonesia, Sabda Pranawa Djati who accompanied the representatives of SP KINTARI in the meeting, stated that, after going through a difficult discussion for almost seven hours, the management of Dunkin' Donuts finally agreed to immediately pay THR in 2021 and 2022 in full to 35 administrators and members of SP KINTARI.

Sabda hopes that, after the payment of THR in 2021 and 2022, PT Dunkindo Lestari can re-employ 92 workers who have been laid off.

"To actively return to work at work sites that are still operating without training requirements and pass training held by employers," he said.
