JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) organized the Homecoming program to facilitate 2,190 people to go home for free to a number of destination cities on the island of Java.

BRI Deputy President Director Catur Budi Harto explained that this program is part of the implementation of the "Healthy Homecoming with BUMN 2022" which is intended to support government programs in improving services, smoothness, and public safety during the 2022 Eid transportation period.

"We have prepared a quota of 45 buses for travelers with a number of destination cities on the island of Java. BRI supports the government's efforts to provide healthy and safe homecoming facilities for the community. This is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to bring more value to the entire community, including our customers," he said in an official statement to the media, Wednesday 27 April.

Together, the kick off of “Healthy Homecoming with SOEs” was held at the Bung Karno Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta today, 27 April. The event was opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi and the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir and was attended by representatives of BUMNs involved in this program.

Catur emphasized that this program was carried out with strict health protocols because it was still overshadowed by the pandemic. Homecoming participants are expected to have received a booster vaccine or at least a second vaccine.

For this year's free homecoming program, there are three routes that will be traversed by BRI travelers. First, the Jakarta-Yogyakarta route via the South route. Second, the Jakarta - Wonogiri route via the Pantura Toll Road, and finally the Jakarta-Surabaya route.

This program is also accompanied by booster vaccination activities for travelers who have just received the second vaccine. In addition, to provide a sense of security and comfort, participants of the free homecoming program also get life insurance from BRILife for free.

"Hopefully the travelers can carry out the Eid holiday safely, safely and can gather with family and friends," concluded Catur.
