JAKARTA - The Supreme Court (MA) has decided to release the Deputy Commissioner for Capital Market Supervision II of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Fakhri Hilmi from his alleged involvement in the Jiwasraya Insurance case. This is the Supreme Court's Cassation Decision which was published today.

Responding to this, OJK Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics Anto Prabowo said that he respects the legal process related to the Supreme Court's Cassation decision which frees Brother Fakhri Hilmi from all lawsuits in the Jiwasraya Insurance case.

"This has always been the effort and commitment of OJK to uphold integrity and professionalism in carrying out its duties as mandated by the OJK Law," he said in a statement on Thursday, April 7.

For this, Anto said that the authorities opened the door as wide as possible for Fakhri to be able to contribute again.

"OJK welcomes Brother Fakhri Hilmi to resume his service at OJK," he said.

According to VOI records, in June 2020 Fakhri Hilmi (FH) was named a suspect for alleged involvement in the corruption of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya which resulted in failure to pay customer funds and resulted in state losses.

At that time, FH was charged with Article 2 subsidiary to Article 3 of Law 31 of 1999 as amended in Law 20 of 2001 concerning the Crime of Corruption.
