Fulfilling Food Supply Needs During Ramadan, ID Food Starts Mobilizing Live Cattle

JAKARTA - The government continues to strive to meet the supply of food needs during the month of Ramadan. Through ID Food, the government has started to mobilize livestock, including live cattle.

President Director of PT RNI (Persero) / ID Food Holding, Frans Marganda said ID Food has prepared the availability of food supplies for Ramadan 2022 for several food commodities.

"Such as the mobilization of live cattle imported from Boyolali, Nganjuk, East Java, carried out by members of the livestock sector holding to prepare consumer centers in Jabodetabek for the 2022 HBKN," he said in an official statement, Monday, April 4.

Meanwhile, the distribution of cooking oil, continued Frans, was carried out together with other Food Holding Subsidiaries of ID Food, namely Rajawali Nusindo and PT Indonesia Trading Company (PPI).

According to Frans, based on the data he has as of April 2, 2022, the distribution of bulk migration that has been distributed since the enactment of the Minister of Industry Number 8 of 2022 and Minister of Trade Number 11 of 2022 is 3,347,791 liters to several regions in Indonesia.

As for the total cooking oil that has been distributed since the implementation of the policy regarding the provision of cooking oil at the beginning of the year, ID Food has distributed 13,796,607 liters of bulk cooking oil, 34,660 cooking oil in jerry cans, and 3,652,873 liters of packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the National Food Agency (NFA) together with the Ministry of Trade also helped overcome the issue of the availability of cooking oil with the Food SOE holding ID FOOD, Traders Association and food business actors.

Arief also encouraged SOE ID FOOD as Food Holding to accelerate the realization of availability and affordability for other food commodities to face Ramadan 2022.

"The National Food Agency together with the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Industry also help handle the availability of cooking oil, this is also carried out in intense coordination with the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry and other Ministries," said Arief.
