JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) cooperates with Grab Indonesia as a partner in transportation services to support the company's operations. Through this collaboration, PLN integrates e-Transport with Grab for Business to optimize transportation services for PLN employees.

PLN General Executive Vice President Arsyadany Ghana Akmalaputri hopes that through this collaboration, PLN's internal performance can increase along with the increase in efficiency, productivity, comfort, and ease of work for employees. PLN also projects that there will be efficiency in the company's operational costs.

"So that PLN can minimize operational costs, such as vehicle rental costs, fuel costs, maintenance costs and other costs," said Arsya, quoted Wednesday, March 9.

According to him, in a digital ecosystem that has grown exponentially, mutually beneficial collaboration and cooperation is an important key, so it must be pursued and realized.

Previously, PLN had digitized the management of the transportation system or fleet management system through the e-Transport platform that was connected to the company's (offline) vehicle pool.

"Not only that, uncertain conditions such as this pandemic era create a stuck cost (idle) on the fleet owned by the company, because it is not used optimally by employees," he added.

This collaboration will also be piloted in PLN's business units in DKI Jakarta and its surroundings. In the future, this integration will be included in PLN's internal superapps so that it can be used by all PLN personnel, including the PLN Group.

Through the integration of e-Transport with Grab for Business, the need for vehicle management services at PLN can later be met with maximum service standards. With each platform that has been digitized, it can continue to be adapted to the development of transportation needs within PLN.

"Moreover, PLN also has flexibility in arranging transportation services to employees, because PLN uses services according to need and pays according to usage (on demand)," said Arsya.

In an effort to build an electric vehicle ecosystem, PLN has built and prepared every element needed, while Grab in recent times has continued to significantly increase their electric vehicle fleet.

"Grab for Business and e-Transport are small steps in realizing PLN's big dream to provide a greener earth for future generations in the transportation sector. Through collaborative steps, PLN and Grab both get benefits that further strengthen their respective corporate positions in the transportation sector. in a business environment that is constantly changing and requires fast and accurate adaptation," he added.

On the other hand, Director of Grab For Business, Roy Nugroho, explained that through collaboration, PLN and Grab both get benefits that further strengthen their respective corporate positions in a business environment that is constantly changing and requires fast and accurate adaptation.

"We support PLN's digital transformation, especially to support efficiency and support employee satisfaction. Grab is very welcoming and we will integrate later not only its services, but also EVs as well," said Roy.

Roy added, actually the collaboration between PLN and Grab has been going on for a long time. Throughout 2021, there have been several uses of Grab for Business to support the mobility of PLN employees.

He also hopes that in the future the collaboration between PLN and Grab will be wider in scope. In line with Grab for Good's commitment to using technology to empower people.

"Initially in Jabodetabek first, then later in 240 other cities that grabs are ready to support PLN in this transportation," he said.
