Take Notes! These 15 Airports Under The Management Of Angkasa Pura I Ready To Implement The Latest Air Travel Rules

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I is ready to implement the latest travel regulations for Domestic Travelers (PPDN). This is in line with the issuance of the Decree of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Air Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This circular (SE) is a derivative of the SE COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) Number 11 of 2022 concerning Travel Provisions for Domestic People During the COVID-19 Pandemic which was issued on March 8, 2022.

President Director of Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, welcomes the change in travel rules and is ready to implement it in all managed airports.

For your information, Angkasa Pura I manages 15 airports in central and eastern Indonesia, namely I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, Juanda Airport in Surabaya, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, and Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan.

Then, Biak's Frans Kaisiepo Airport, Manado's Sam Ratulangi Airport, Banjarmasin's Syamsudin Noor Airport, Semarang's Ahmad Yani Airport, Yogyakarta's Adisutjipto Airport, Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo, and Adi Soemarmo Airport Surakarta.

Then, Lombok Praya International Airport, Ambon Pattimura Airport, Kupang El Tari Airport, and Jayapura Sentani Airport. Angkasa Pura I has five subsidiaries, namely PT Angkasa Pura Logistik, PT Angkasa Pura Properti, PT Angkasa Pura Suport, PT Angkasa Pura Hotel, and PT Angkasa Pura Retail.

"We believe this policy will be able to have a very positive impact on increasing passenger and flight traffic to encourage economic recovery for the aviation and tourism industry," he said in a written statement received by VOI, quoted on Wednesday, March 9.

Faik said Angkasa Pura I is committed to continuing to ensure the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol in accordance with applicable regulations in order to realize safe and healthy flights for all service users.

"Airport officers Angkasa Pura I always ensures the cleanliness of public facilities such as check-in counters, trolleys, self-check-in machines, security checkpoints (tray & x-ray), toilets, boarding pass scanners, hand rails, arm chairs and etc. At the airport, we carry out intensive and periodic cleaning using disinfectants," he explained.

Meanwhile, operational officers on duty are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective glasses (goggles) or face shield, masks, gloves, and provide hand sanitizer in terminal areas.

In addition, for the implementation of physical distancing, it has set a minimum queue distance of 2 meters at the check-in counter area, security checkpoint, immigration, boarding lounge, garbarata, baggage claim area, and waiting area for public transportation.

"We always urge all service users to continue to comply with the applicable travel provisions of the COVID-19 National Task Force and jointly maintain the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol," he said.

Antigen and PCR are no longer a requirement of travel

With the Decree of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 of 2022, domestic travelers by air or plane may travel without having to attach the results of the PCR or antigen test.

However, not all travelers are allowed to board the plane without a PCR or antigen test. There are requirements that must be met by travelers, as follows:

First, Domestic travelers (PPDN) who have received a second dose of vaccination or a third dose of vaccination (booster) are not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test.

Second, PPDN that has received the first dose of vaccination is required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose samples were taken within 3 x 24 hours or rapid antigen tests whose samples were taken within 1 x 24 hours before departure as a condition of travel.

Third, PPDN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent travelers from receiving vaccinations must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample is taken within a maximum period of 3 x 24 hours or a rapid antigen test whose sample is taken within a maximum period of 1 x 24 hours before departure as a travel requirement and a requirement is to attach a doctor's certificate from the Government Hospital stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination.

Finally, PPDN under the age of 6 years can travel with a travel companion and apply strict health protocols.
