Korean Stock Broker Targets Customer Transaction Value Of Up To IDR 121 Trillion On The Indonesia Stock Exchange

JAKARTA - PT Korea Investment and Sekuritas Indonesia (KISI) targets the transaction value of its customers or investors to reach IDR 121.3 trillion this year. This figure is up 51.49 percent from the realization of KISI transactions in 2021.

The securities company and Exchange Member with the code BQ on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) recorded positive performance growth in line with the implementation of good corporate governance and updating of information technology systems for the development of KOINS, an online trading application managed by KISI.

KISI President Director Song Sangyup said the transaction value of KISI investors in 2021 was worth IDR 80.07 trillion or higher than the target set by KISI management of IDR 60.65 trillion. Meanwhile, the average monthly share transaction value last year reached IDR 7 billion per month.

On a monthly basis, the average stock transaction value in January, October, and November 2021 reached IDR 8 billion in that month.

"Because of this, KISI is optimistic that the average transaction value of shares throughout 2022 is projected to increase to IDR 121.3 trillion or grow by 51.49 percent compared to the realization in 2021 of IDR 80.07 trillion," said Song Sangyup, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 24.

KISI believes that the increase in the average transaction value will continue at the beginning of this year. In January 2022, continued Song Sangyup, the average trend of share transaction values in KISI was IDR 7.3 billion. This figure is higher than the average monthly share transaction value last year, which was IDR 7 billion.

KISI's management is optimistic that the stock transaction value in February will experience growth compared to last January.

Song Sangyup said that the positive sentiment that affects the projected growth in average transaction value is investor confidence in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic and the incessant vaccination program which will become a positive catalyst for the national economic recovery.

According to him, investor interest, especially retail investors, to invest in the stock market remains high during the pandemic. The Company also provides various services that facilitate customer transactions, especially retail investors, through a number of promotional programs and improvements to the KOINS online trading service system.
