Then on February 18, 2022, Pertamina EP Limau Field, which is included in Zone 4 Regional Sumatra, continued drilling the PMN-E well using the PDSI #39.3/D1500-E/PDSI rig with an estimated time of 32 days and a production target of 150 BOPD of oil and 2 million gas. standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).

The three development wells are located in two administrative areas, namely Muara Enim Regency and Prabumulih City, South Sumatra Province. The drilling plan, which had previously been coordinated with the local district/city government, received positive support.

Head of the Prabumulih City Research and Development Agency, Matnur Latif, expressed his support and hope that this drilling will run smoothly and successfully increase Pertamina's oil and gas production.

"Zone 4 Regional Sumatra Subholding Upstream has prepared a fairly massive well work plan with a very solid timeline, including 41 development wells and 4 exploration wells, 41 workover wells, as well as 934 well service-well intervention wells. Production target This year is demanded to be higher than the realization in 2021, so it is necessary to ensure that the realization of each drilling, workover, and well intervention work plan runs according to the time and production targets," said Agus.

Agus admits that the massive and aggressive work program is one of his strategies as an effort to increase oil and gas production for Zone 4 Regional Sumatra Subholding Upstream KKKS. This implementation is in line with the spirit of SUMATERA (SUstainable, MAssive, To grow, Efficient, Resilient, Aggressive) which is maintained by the KKKS Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) as Regional Sumatra.

"Our efforts include improving operating performance, optimizing existing production fields, continuing exploration work programs, transforming resources to production, and utilizing technology to implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR)," Agus explained.

Separately, the Head of SKK Migas Sumbagsel Representative, Anggono Mahendawan said that SKK Migas and KKKS would continue to make efforts to increase oil and gas production in the Southern Sumatra region in particular.

"This effort is also carried out to achieve the national production target together with the hope that in the future we can maintain national energy security together," said Anggono.

As of early February 2022, year-to-date SKK Migas Integrated Operation System (SOT) data shows oil production is at 23,417 BOPD or around 99 percent of the target. Meanwhile, gas production is at 517.52 MMSCFD or about 104% of the target.

This production is supported by seven self-operated fields, namely Prabumulih, Limau, Pendopo, Adera, Ramba, Ogan Komering, and Raja Tempirai. In addition, production is also supported by two non-operator work areas, namely Corridor and Suban Unitization, as well as ten Joint Operations (KSO).
