Waskita Karya Brings Good News, Becakayu Toll Road Section 2A Completed In June 2022

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk as a construction BUMN targets the construction of the Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) Toll Road to Section 2A West Bekasi to be completed in June 2022.

"The target for the completion of Section 2A of West Bekasi is June 2022," said Waskita President Director (Director) Destiawan Soewardjono at a hearing with Commission VI DPR RI in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, February 14.

Destiawan added that the progress of the toll road construction is currently 97.14 percent, which is up to Section 2A of West Bekasi.

"For the Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu Toll Road, the 2021 PMN funds received are Rp. 1.1 trillion," he said.

Currently, the toll road section that is already operating is DI Panjaitan-Jakasampurna along 11.90 kilometers.

The Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu Toll Road is one of seven toll roads that Waskita Karya is optimistic that it will be completed with PMN 2021 funds.

Other toll roads include the Kayu Agung - Palembang - Betung (KAPB) Phase 2 Toll Road, the Cimanggis - Cibitung (CCTW) Toll Road Section 2, the Bogor - Ciawi - Sukabumi (BOCIMI) Toll Road Section 2, the Pejagan - Pemalang Toll Road. (PPTR), the Krian - Legundi - Bunder - Manyar (KLBM) Toll Road Section 4, and the Pasuruan - Probolinggo Toll Road (PASPRO) Section 4.

Previously, Waskita Karya hoped that the entire section of the Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) Toll Road could be operational by the middle of next year.

SVP Corporate Secretary Waskita Ratna Ningrum hopes that the entire section of the Becakayu Toll Road which was built to relieve congestion in Kalimalang and the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road can operate in mid-2022. In addition, it can be an alternative for toll road users, especially from Bekasi to Tanjung Priok and its surroundings by much shorter travel time.

Waskita itself has completed the Steel Box Arch (SBArch) girder erection work on the Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) Toll Road Section 2A Ujung project.

Becakayu Toll Road section 2A-2A Ujung which is currently being built by Waskita using an elevated structure has a length of 4.88 km and currently the progress has reached 83.6 percent. This section will complement the existence of the 8.4 km Becakayu Section 1 BC Toll Road which was inaugurated on November 3, 2017.
