To Improve Health Of Female Workers, Minister Of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Reviewing IVA Implementation At Sido Muncul Factory

JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 2022 National OHS Month series, the Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, reviewed the implementation of the IVA (Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid) examination in order to improve the health of female workers, in order to prevent and early detection of cancer in Indonesian women, which was held in PT Sido Muncul Herbal and Pharmaceutical Industry Tbk Semarang, Central Java, Thursday 10 February.

In addition to this IVA examination, OHS training was also carried out in the workplace, as well as socialization of Tuberculosis (Tb) disease prevention in the workplace. This series of inspections was carried out for three days, namely from 8-10 February 2022, with a total of 500 female workers carrying out inspections.

In his remarks, the Minister of Manpower Ida conveyed that the implementation of the IVA examination was a tangible manifestation of the program of caring for female workers. This activity is also in synergy with the Vision of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM). This series of activities has been carried out since 2015 - 2019, which has included more than 18 thousand female workers who have carried out inspections.

"This health check is important as an effort to prevent and detect early cervical cancer in female workers which is also part of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), for that socialization and periodic checks must be carried out," said the Minister of Manpower Ida in a written statement. .

Furthermore, the Minister of Manpower hopes that the participation of entrepreneurs and government cooperation can reduce the risk of cervical cancer among female workers in Indonesia from an early age. He explained that by carrying out this IVA examination, female workers still maintain their health and also have an impact on increasing work productivity.

On this occasion, the Minister of Manpower Ida invites female workers who have been registered for membership from BPJS Employment and health, they are actually entitled to the IVA test benefit service. According to him, his party through the Directorate General of Binwasnaker and K3 together with BPJS Health and BPJS Employment, should conduct joint socialization to companies and workers who have registered for membership.
