Not Together With VR46 Next Year, Marini Reportedly Joins The Honda Factory Team

JAKARTA - Racers totaling the VR46 Luca Marini are rumored to be a candidate to replace Marc Marquez's seat in the Honda factory team, namely Repsol Honda for the 2024 MotoGP season.

Citing the official MotoGP report, Marini has been widely discussed as a candidate to replace Marc Marquez's seat in the Japan-based racing team.

Although there has been no official confirmation until now, representatives ofction VR46 Uccio Salucci admit there is a possibility Marini will not be with his team next season.

"For Luca, maybe next year he's not with us. You should talk to Honda to find out the details of his contract, because we don't know the level of this contract yet," said Salucci.

Furthermore, there is still one more racer who has yet to determine where he will join next season, namely Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini Racing). He certainly will not live in the team considering that the two seats have been occupied by the Marquez brothers.

However, Salucci said his team was not considering Di Giannantonio to fill Marini's place next season.

"For Luca's replacement, we don't consider Di Giannantonio. We want young riders on our bike," he said.

By putting aside the possibility of Di Giannantiono joining the team, Salucci explained that the team was looking for riders in Moto2 to replace Marini in VR46.

When you lose a racer like Marini in November, it's difficult. We have to discuss and talk with different teams. Our choice is not only Aldeguer, there are more riders and teams. Tony Arbolino is an option. I like Tony, he is fast and he is Italian. He is another name, but he is not the only one. We'll see in the next four days, "explained Salucci.

With the closer the final MotoGP round in Valencia, there is little time for Marini and VR46 to make decisions that will determine the future of both sides.
