Brazilian U-17 Striker Monitors England's U-17 Weakness For The Last Match

JAKARTA - Brazil U-17 managed to win 9-0 over New U-17 Caledonia on the second matchday of Group C of the 2023 U-17 World Cup. This big win could not be separated from the hat trick created by Kaua Elias.

The player with the number 9 shirt managed to add to his team's goal record in the 46th, 86th, and 90+4th minutes. Brazil's victory left them just one step away to ensure tickets qualify for the last 16.

Regarding the slick performance that was successfully created in the field, Elias admitted that he was very grateful to be able to contribute to the team. However, he stressed that it was all the hard work of the team.

"I am very happy. Our team is very compact to finish the match against Kaledonia Baru. This achievement at the U-17 World Cup is the fruit of our hard work. I am happy with the three goals scored," said Kaua Elias after the match at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Tuesday, November 14.

Not wanting to be complacent with the results of this match, Kaua Elias realized that the Selecao team's struggle was still not over. The reason is, they still have to play the last match against England U-17.

Elias said that the match against England U-17 was an important match and had to win. Hence, he and his teammates will work hard for the match.

"We are making quite strong preparations. The match against England U-17 is a match we have to win because it is very important for us. The team will try hard because we need to win to be in the top position," he said.

As an effort to prepare against England U-17, Brazil U-17 did not even hesitate to spy on the appearance of its potential opponent who appeared against Iran U-17 at the same stadium.

"Yes, we will stay (at this stadium) to watch the (England vs Iran) match," said Phielipe Leal, Brazil's U-17 coach who also accompanied the player.
