Malaysian MotoGP Qualification 2023: Francesco Bagnaia Pole Position

JAKARTA Italian Francesco Bagnaia will start the 2023 Malaysian MotoGP race from pole position after recording the fastest time in qualifying.

The defending champion who strengthened the Lenovo Team Ducati recorded a time of 1 minute 57.491 seconds in qualifying at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, Saturday, November 11, 2023 noon, western Indonesia time.

Bagnaia beat his toughest rival in the race for the title this season by Jorge Martin. The Pramac Racing racer is trailing in second place with a time difference of +0.058 seconds.

Following the two riders was Enea Bastianini. Bagnaia's teammate made a time of +0.099 seconds to complete the final grid in the front row.

In a row, two other riders after that completed the five fronts were Alex Marquez and Luca Marini. Both of these last names with Marco Bezzecchi filled the second line.

The other four riders who followed completed the top ten were Brad Binder, Fabio Quartararo, Maverick Vinales, and finally Jack Miller.

Meanwhile, the poor result was obtained by Repsol Honda racer Marc Marquez. The six-time MotoGP world champion will start the race from the 20th position.

The Spaniard had to start the race from that position because he fell in the First Qualification (Q1) and did not qualify for the Second Qualification (Q2).
