Thailand MotoGP Results: Jorge Martin Wins, But Hasn't Overtaken Francesco Bagnaia From The Top Of The Standings

JAKARTA Jorge Martin has taken control of Thailand's MotoGP. The 17th series of the 2023 MotoGP race was held at Chang Circuit, Buriram on Sunday, October 29.

Martin, who rode the Ducati Desmodeci GP22 from the Pramac Racing team, overcomes the resistance of two tough rivals, namely Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Brad Binder (KTM). Bagnaia was only able to occupy the second podium, while Binder was in third place.

Binder was actually able to finish second. However, the South African racer was awarded a penalty after his motorbike drove across the track. The punishment was an advantage for Bagnaia, who eventually became runner up.

Despite winning the Thai MotoGP both in the race and the sprint race, Martin has not been able to shift Bagnaia from the top position of the riders' standings. Bagnaia remained with a total value of 389, Martin was in second place with a score of 376, while third was occupied by Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Ducati) with a value of 310.

The following series of MotoGP 2023 will be held at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia on November 12.
