Premier League: After Beating Liverpool, Postecoglou Will Bring Tottenham Gasak Luton

Tottenham Hotspur Coach Ange Postecoglou said his team had difficulty winning a narrow 2-1 victory from Liverpool in the 2023/2034 Premier League continued match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday WIB.

Ange said this because he considered that the opposing team coach Jurgen Klopp was not easy to beat even though in that match they played with nine players after Curtis Jones got a red card in the 26th minute and Diogo Jota got a second yellow card in the 69th minute.

"It wasn't an easy game for us, we knew it wouldn't be easy, and even in such a situation, we had some unique challenges," said Ange, quoted from the club's official website on Sunday.

The Lilywhites could only break the deadlock when the visitors played with 10 players through Son Heung-min's (36) goal.

Liverpool did not give up. With 10 players, it was with Cody Gakpo who received Van Dijk's pass that equalized to 1-1 in the 45+4 minute.

"I think 11 vs 11 is a fairly balanced game, we have our own moments, they have their own moments, they drop to 10 and until we score, we play well, then we have a bit of trouble, rush," said Ange.

"Liverpool although 10 players are equally dangerous because their game plans are the same, they have world-class players on the front lines who can hurt you," he added.

In the second half, the Australian coach rated Spurs to play better and calmer by starting dangerous chances through James Maddison's shot (49) and Son (51) which Alisson Becker still denied.

After that, Spurs bombarded the Liverpool defense who played with nine players since the 69th minute. "I think the second half is better because we remain calmer, keep pressure on the wing area and get a reward," said Ange.

At its peak, starting from Pedro Porro's low pass in the 90+6 minute, Spurs were able to score goal setH Joel Matip made a mistake because his sweeping ball went into his own net.

Spurs won 2-1 and became two teams with Arsenal who have not tasted defeat this season.
