Lorenzo Says Marc Marquez's Move To Gresini Is Over

JAKARTA Marc Marquez's move to the Gresini team is still rolling ahead of the Japanese MotoGP. However, Marquez's former rival and teammate at Repsol Honda, Jorge Lorenzo, has a surprising answer about The Baby Alien's future.

Lorenzo, who is now working for DAZN, cannot get an official answer from Marquez about the rumors of joining Gresini in the 2024 season. However, Lorenzo said the move was over.

According to Lorenzo, Japan's MotoGP on the Motegi circuit which took place this weekend is an important moment in the future negotiations of owner 93. Lorenzo is sure that the conversation between Marquez and Honda is only discussing their separation because the Spaniard is ready to move to Gresini.

"Yes, rumors of Marquez leaving Honda to join Gresini Ducati are getting bigger in my head, and I think it's over," Lorenzo said at the MotoGP teacher event as reported by the crash.

"I'm sure Marc doesn't really care about money. He just wants to be competitive again in 2024 and then really open to choosing from many competitive options for 2025," he continued.

It is known, for the 2024 MotoGP season, only Gresini's team still has the remaining vacant seats. Meanwhile, for the 2025 season, almost all factory teams have at least one empty seat. This is what Gresini is trying to take advantage of to get The Baby Alien even though it is only one racing season.

Ducati sports director Paolo Ciabatti admits that Gresini's team has a chance and they are still waiting for Marc Marquez's decision. Marquez's career is currently in a downward trend. Ahead of MotoGP Japan, he has almost 700 days of fasting for victory since reaching the 59th podium at MotoGP Misano in 2021.

Ade assessed that Ganjar's ideas were also acceptable among rural voters, because he offered a solution that became a problem for rural voters. Regarding the topic, Ade saw that Ganjar's idea of fighting was discussed by the public with the idea of Anies Baswedan's future presidential candidate, Nisbi, who blossomed in urban voters.
