JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent started their struggle at the 2023 Asian Games, today, September 19, 2023. Red and White athletes have dropped in several sports.

The Indonesian men's volleyball national team managed to reap sweet results in the first match of the 2023 F Asian Games. Facing the Philippines, Indonesia was able to record a convincing victory in three straight games.

Appearing at the Deqing Sports Center Gymnasium, China on Tuesday, September 19, the Philippines had stolen the advantage at the beginning of the first game. Vincent Raphael Mangulabnan and his friends can continue to score points until they are 8-6 up.

Not only indoor volleyball, the beach volleyball team also managed to record a victory. The Danangsyah Yudistira Pribadi / Sofyan Rachman Efendi won 2-1 over Philippine representative Zanakran Abdilla / Jaron Requinton in the match which took place at Ningbo Banbianshan Beach Volleyball Center.

The red and white representatives were behind 13-21 in the first set. However, in the second set, Danang/Sofyan got up and won 21-16 so that the match continued to the determination set.

Danang/Sofyan again packed a 15-8 victory in the third game to ensure victory. After facing the representatives of the Philippines and winning, Danang/Sofyan will meet Samba/Janko from Qatar on Wednesday, September 20. If they win, Danang/Sofyan will lead the Pool B standings.

The cricket sport also does not want to lose to success. The Indonesian women's team won over Mongolia with a score of 187/4 - 15/10, Dewi Ni Luh Ketut Wesika Ratna became the player with the most runs for the Indonesian national team, namely 62 runs.

In soccer. The U-24 Indonesian national team also won. Indra Sjafri's team won 2-0 through goals from Ramai Rumakiek and Hugo Samir.
