Badminton Of Indonesia's First Seeded Son At The 2023 Asian Games, Above The Host Of China

JAKARTA The Indonesian men's badminton team was named the first seed at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games. The Red and White squad is above the Chinese host.

Indonesia's certainty to be the flagship at Asia's 19th edition of the multi-branch event was conveyed by the Badminton Asia Federation on Monday, September 18, 2023.

"In the men's team, defending champions and Chinese hosts occupy second seed while silver medalists at the 2018 Asian Games, Indonesia is the top seed in Hangzhou," they wrote.

Following the two countries in third place is the former bronze medalist, Japan. Meanwhile, India occupies the venue as the fourth seed.

Meanwhile, the women's team won the 2018 silver medal, China became the top seed. They outperformed Korea in second place.

Then Japan, which won gold medals in Jakarta 2018 and Thailand, were respectively seeded in third and fourth place.

A total of 13 countries will fight in men's competitions. These countries are the hosts of China, Indonesia, Japan, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, China Hong Kong, Singapore, Maldives, Mongolia, and Nepal.

As for the women's team, there are a total of 11 countries. Apart from being the host, the other 10 countries are Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, China Hong Kong, Maldives, Mongolia and Nepal.
