JAKARTA - Bad results still house Persija Jakarta in Liga 1 2023/2024. This situation makes the Club President, Mohamad Prapanca, ready to take responsibility.

Persija again failed to win in the 11th week of Liga 1 2023/2024 Sunday, September 3. Facing Persib Bandung, known for its tough rivals, the Kemayoran Tigers only drew 1-1.

In fact, Persija appeared before its own supporters, The Jakmania, at Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi. This is the fifth time that Andritany Ardhiyasa et al have won three points in a row.

This condition makes the supporters hot. They demanded that the team's management make changes.

Prapanca understands The Jakmania's disappointment. Through a social media account, he expressed his concern for what was happening in the team.

"The results of yesterday's match left disappointment for all of us," Prapanca said in an upload, Monday, September 4.

"Failure to stop the series of bad results obtained by Persija, of course, will provide quite deep sadness, especially for the Jakmania," he wrote.

He realized that the team's recent performances needed improvements related to all elements including management. For this reason, as a form of responsibility, Prapanca handed over his fate in the Kemayoran Tigers to PT. Persija Jaya Jakarta as the management company.

"As president of the club, of course I am the person most responsible for this bad result. Therefore, I leave all decisions to Persija management," said Prapanca.

"Whatever decision the Persija Board of Directors will make regarding the performance of the team this season, I am ready to accept it," he continued.

Not to forget, Prapanca also apologized to The Jakmania and left a message to maintain solidarity in the supporters' camp.

"For our beloved supporter, the Jakmania, representing the team, I apologize for this disappointing series of results. Believe me, if Persija management will take any necessary and appropriate action, to improve team performance and return Persija on the track it should be," said Prapanca.

"Keep your cohesiveness and solidity, don't let irresponsible people divide the Jakmania. Stay with us, because you are our reason to keep fighting," he concluded.
