JAKARTA - The FIFA Matchday match will bring together the Indonesian national team against Argentina. This match will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), 19 June.

The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) only provides a ticket quota of 60,000 pieces to sell. This is less than SUGBK's capacity of 78 thousand spectators.

This step raises the question because the interest of football lovers in the country is very high to witness the actions of Lionel Messi and his friends. PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir explained why tickets sold were less than the capacity of the audience.

"Yes, of course there are several things that we maintain, one so that the capacity is balanced, this is for the sake of maintaining security. But of course there are sponsors who already have a ticket quota, that's what we are guarding," said Erick Thohir at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, May 29.

In addition to the ticket quota allocated to the sponsor, Erick Thohir said that PSSI would use tickets for invited guests including international football figures. The presence of the invited guests was used by the federation to show facilities readiness to welcome La Albiceleste.

"Not to mention, we also hope that together with this (FIFA Matchday) there will be several international football figures, several Southeast Asian football administrators, Asia, and even the world we want to invite as well, so that we can see how the facilities in Indonesia are not inferior," said the man who also serves as Minister of SOEs.

"Because yesterday when the Argentine team came here, they were very surprised by the infrastructure we have. This is what we want to show to several countries that have never been to Indonesia that we are a strong country culturally or infrastructure," he continued.

Tickets with a quota of 60,000 sheets for the Indonesia vs Argentina national team match will go on sale on June 5-7. The category is divided into four at the cheapest price starting at IDR 600 thousand.

"The price of this ticket includes taxes and services. For Category 3 it is sold for Rp. 600 thousand, Category 2 is Rp. 1.2 million, Category 1 is Rp. 2.5 million. Meanwhile, for Western and East VIPs it is Rp. 4,250,000. So the average ticket price remains at Rp. 1 million," explained Erick Thohir.
