Ramadan Sananta's Promise Fulfilled: This Is For Our Nation And My Parents

JAKARTA - The U-22 Indonesian national team striker, Ramadhan Sananta, scored two goals in a 5-0 win over Myanmar in the second match of the Cambodian 2023 SEA Games group stage at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium, Thursday, May 4.

Ramadhan fulfilled his promise before the match. He admitted that he wanted to open the tap for Garuda Nusantara at the 2023 SEA Games.

His first goal was scored with a penalty in the 31st minute, while his second goal was scored in the 60th minute.

"Alhamdulillah, I was able to score in this afternoon's match. Of course, this goal is for our nation, also for my parents who have prayed for me so far," said Ramadhan Sananta after the match.

Even though he didn't play for 90 minutes, Ramadhan Sananta could be said to be playing quite well. The exit of a 20-year-old player was not due to problems, but because the coach tried to give other players the opportunity to show off their abilities.

"This goal is not everything, hopefully in the future I can work even harder and be able to score goals again in the future," said Ramadhan Sananta.

Until the second match of Group A, Ramadhan Sananta has scored two goals and has the opportunity to continue to grow because there are still two matches in the group stage, believing that Timor Leste and host Cambodia. Moreover, this player continues to attract coach Indra Sjafri.

Ramadan Sananta also admitted that he was comfortable with the atmosphere in the Indonesian national team. Thus he will try to give his best if given the opportunity to play.

"Yes, maybe what coach Indra said we are slowly managing chemistry with all the players and God willing, in the future we will be even better," said the player with the number nine jersey.
