Ganjar Pranowo Easily Says Disappointed And Says Indonesia's Failure To Host The U-20 World Cup Not The End Of The World

SEMARANG - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, spoke about Indonesia's failure to host the 2023 U-20 World Cup. He was disappointed, but according to him, this was not the end of the world.

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has officially revoked Indonesia's status as host of the U-20 World Cup. In its statement, FIFA stated that the current situation in Indonesia was the reason.

This was allegedly related to the rejection of the participation of the Israeli team. One of those who refused was Ganjar.

"Yes, I'm disappointed, we have prepared from the start. There are only a few notes that we can do," he said in Semarang, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 30.

Ganjar asked the U-20 Indonesian National Team players to keep their spirits up and keep practicing. According to him, Indonesia's failure to host the U-20 World Cup is not an end.

"This is not the end of the world, we must continue to train and build Indonesian football seriously and completely because there are still many events that can be properly prepared," he said.

Previously, a number of Indonesian U-20 national team players "invaded" Ganjar's Instagram account because he was judged as the cause of the FIFA decision.

They left comments of disappointment in one of the PDI Perjuangan politicians' posts.

"Thank you, sir. The dream of this village boy who wants to defend Indonesia in the World Cup is just a dream, sir! Our prayers, you are always healthy. The dreams of this nation's child are in vain, sir," wrote Cahya Supriyadi, the goalkeeper for the U-20 national team, in one of the Ganjar Instagram uploads.

Several other U-20 Indonesian National Team players did the same thing.

"Are you satisfied to bury our dream of playing in the U-20 World Cup, Sir!!!? said Robi Darwis.

While Marselino Ferdinan wrote, "Be healthy, sir. It's okay sir, I'm not angry. Anyway, I hope you are fresh and healthy."

"Thank you sir, my parents couldn't tell their friends that they have children who are very proud of being able to play in the World Cup," commented Arkhan Fikri.

Hokky Caraka did not miss leaving comments with disappointment. "Thank you very much, sir. Oh yes, sir, we know that your fate is guaranteed and your future is already good. As for us, sir? We are just about to start a better career, but our stepping stones have been destroyed by you," wrote Hokky.
