Carolina Marin Won't Say No If Offered As Indonesian Women's Singles Coach

JAKARTA - The Queen of badminton from Spain, Carolina Marin, revealed the possibility of becoming the women's singles coach for Indonesia. He admitted that he would not deny that one day an offer from PBSI came.

The statement was made by Carolina Marin when he received questions regarding the possibility of training Indonesian women's singles, recently.

Marin responded openly and greeted him happily. He also said he would not refuse anything, moreover it was related to the badminton he was currently doing.

I wouldn't say 'no' because I don't know what will happen in the future, Marin replied about kans being a coach.

Even though it opens up that opportunity, Marin will still focus on becoming an athlete because each wants to compete. He will not share his concentration regarding the opportunity to become a coach.

"Currently my role is still an athlete and still competing at the world's top level. I'm still growing, so my concentration is still there," said Marin.

Marin then also emphasized that if he had the opportunity to become a coach, the priority thing first would be progress in his country, Spain. But the possibility for Indonesia will still exist.

"I still want to develop myself here (Spain), but if I can provide assistance (badminton fields) to Indonesia in any way, why not?" he said.

Marin and Indonesia do have their own closeness. Apart from having many fans, Indonesia is also a pretty good place for the development of his career.

The 29-year-old player is noted to have conducted several exercises at the PBSI National Training Center, Cipayung, East Jakarta. He did his first training 10 years ago in preparation for the 2013 World Championships.

Then in 2015 while preparing for the Australian Open and the Indonesia Open Super Series Premier. After that, Marin's name skyrocketed and became a women's singles who successfully achieved brilliant achievements in the following year.
