JAKARTA Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) has officially released the formation of the Yamaha Racing Indonesia (YRI) team for the series of Asian Road Racing Championship races for the 2023 season.

In that event, YRI will draw four riders. The four names are Galang Hendra Pratama, Andy Muhammad (AM) Fadly, Wahyu Nugroho, and M Faerozi Toreqottullah.

AM Fadly is a new face. His presence is quite surprising because this figure has always been Kawasaki's mainstay in recent seasons.

He has the status of holder of two ARRC titles in the Asian Production 250 class for two consecutive seasons.

However, starting next season, he will advance to class. Together with Galang Hendra, AM Fadly will spur the leading YZF-R6 motorcycle in the class in the ARRC Supersport 600 (SS600) class.

Meanwhile, Galang is now more prepared. He dared to target achievements in the form of going up the podium and winning the 2023 season.

"This season I have to be more confident in adapting to all circuits, of course, with my experience and data," said Galang on the official YRI website.

Meanwhile, Wahyu Nugroho and M Faerozi Toreqottullah will compete in the Asia Production (AP250) class with YZF-R25 mounts.

Four YRI retailers who will appear at the ARRC will take part in official training at the Chang International Circuit (21-22 March) later. They then started the first round of the race on the same track (24-26 March).

In addition, YRI will also send Aldi Satya Mahendra to the R3 BLU European Cup 2023 event. Last year Aldi received a WSS 300 wild card in Catalunya.

In addition, he is also listed as participating in the Master Camp VR46 Academy. In that event he successfully proved himself by being the best in the four contested sessions.

Aldi will take part in the official R3 BLU European Cup championship training at the Misano Italia circuit (9-10 April) and the inaugural round at the Netherlands Assen circuit (21-22 April).

President Director & CEO of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) Dyonisius Beti said that the delivery of this racer is a form of Yamaha's commitment to fostering potential seeds owned by Indonesia.

"This is also a manifestation of the Indonesian blu cRU program to take part in various competitions both outside and in the country with the target of winning titles. We hope that the YRI fostered racers will present the best results in 2023," he said.

In addition to sending riders to Asia and Europe, Yamaha Indonesia also fielded teams and riders in the OnePrix national championship and the Mandalika Racing Series (MRS) national championship.

In these two national events, Yamaha set a target to defend the title won in 2022. The target is supported by the leading Yamaha MX King 150 motorcycle at the OnePrix National Championship which was the mainstay last year.

In 2022, Yamaha won the Expert class national champion through Reynaldi Pradhana and Novice's national champion through Dimas Juliatmoko.

As for the MRS national championship, Yamaha riders will do their best to win the Sport 150 cc and Sport 250 cc titles.

In local competitions, Yamaha will also hold a Yamaha One Make Race (OMR), namely the BLU cRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge, BLU cRU Yamaha Sunday Race and BLU cRU Yamaha Endurance Festival.
