PSSI Forms Of The Adhoc Supporter Committee After A Riot Occurred In Semarang

JAKARTA - The PSSI Executive Committee 2023-2027 held a meeting today, Saturday, February 18. This is the second meeting after being elected at the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB), February 16 last.

The meeting, which started at 13.00 WIB, resulted in several important decisions. One of them is the Adhoc Supporter Committee.

"Today is the second Exco meeting after yesterday's Congress. We discussed the ongoing International Friendy Match, a supporters' incident in Semarang. For this reason, PSSI decided to form an Adhoc Committee for supporters," said the chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir, on the federation's official website.

"Why did the decision have an adhoc supporters committee? Because the issue of the transformation of football must also involve supporters. So we have to be serious. And FIFA letters that were sent to all of us at that time, one of which was also talking about supporters."

"We have to make sure the fans can return home safely. But we also knock on the hearts of the fans if our football transformation is good they must also be a part responsible for improving Indonesian football," he added.

In addition, the meeting which was also attended by two representatives of the General Chair, namely Zainudi Amali, Ratu Tisha and members of the Executive Committee, resulted in the decision to form the Infrastructure Adhoc Committee.

For the Infrastructure Adhoc Committee, Erick considers this to be one of the most important things. One of the focuses of the 2023-2027 Exco PSSI is building a training center for the Indonesian national team.

"God willing, next week we will send a team to start seeing the land. This is part of PSSI's commitment to building a joint training center, not only funding from FIFA, but also we will try to find other financing," explained the SOE Minister.

"God willing, if we are serious, next year this training center will have at least four training fields and maybe also a training camp for athletes," he continued.
