Freed From Indictment Of Sexual Violence Cases, Ten Hag Has Talkd To Greenwood

JAKARTA - Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has reportedly spoken to Mason Greenwood after being acquitted of a case of alleged sexual violence.

"The coach asked how his physical and mental condition was and said he was pleased the charges had been dropped. He thought contacting Mason was the right thing to do," a resource person told The Sun's report Saturday.

Previously, Greenwood was involved in cases of alleged rape and violence against his girlfriend early last year, he even had to be detained by the police and his status as a player frozen by the club he oversees.

But Manchester United announced that the 21-year-old forward was free from charges.

Ten Hag has spoken to Greenwood by phone, which is the player's first communication with Manchester United after he has been frozen since January 2022.

The Dutch coach is reported to have asked Greenwood's physical and mental state. Ten Hag is pleased that the charges against the British striker have been abolished.

However, the communication between Ten Hag and Greenwood does not mean the striker will rejoin Manchester United.

"But his fate remains a club matter, which will decide whether Mason can play for Manchester United again," said the resource person.

The Manchester United women's soccer team recently expressed their rejection of Greenwood's return to the club in connection with the allegation.
