JAKARTA - The U-16 Indonesian national team captain, Muhammad Iqbal Gwijangge, will undergo a training camp in Hungary. He will fly to Europe with Persib Bandung youth player Eriko Sulastiano.

As reported by PSSI's official website, these two players will train at the Hungarian Academy Puskas for six months, starting from January to July 2023.

PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan advised Iqbal and Eriko to be serious in studying at the Academia Puskas. Both are expected to become better football players after returning from Hungary.

"Of course, in obtaining knowledge, they must be serious, serious, patient and really take advantage of this opportunity," said Iriawan, on the official PSSI website.

"So that when we return to the country, we will get very significant changes from several sectors, such as skills, physical to mental and maybe can be imitated by other young players in Indonesia," he continued.

The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali also left the "armed" to the two young Indonesian players. He stated that the government would provide support and prayers for Iqbal and Eriko.

"We, of course, provide support and encouragement so that both of them can be successful there in studying," said the Menpora.

Iqbal and Eriko reportedly flew to Hungary on Monday, January 30, afternoon WIB. Both hope to bring useful knowledge when they return to the country.
