JAKARTA - The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team will launch their new motorbike in Jakarta on 17 January. The Yamaha factory team is the first to introduce the latest livery this season.

The announcement of the launch was announced on the official MotoGP @mogp Instagram account. The two main Japanese manufacturers, Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli, are confirmed to attend.

"The wait is finally over. Four more nights of M1 (YZR-M1) Fabio Quartararo and Marco Morbidelli are on display in Jakarta," wrote MotoGP in a statement in their upload.

Yamaha only fielded two motorbikes for the 2023 season which Quartararo and Morbidelli will ride. That's because the RNF Racing satellite team withdrew and joined Aprillia as a satellite team there.

The opening of the YZR-M1 casing coincided with the Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing's 2023 '3S Dealer Meeting' event. The event was a meeting of all Yamaha dealers throughout Indonesia.

However, Yamaha has confirmed that it will not open an interview session with the media crew at the event, either with the racer or the management of the Monster Energy Yamaha team.

Previously, MotoGP had also scheduled the launch of other teams before the race in March. Gresini Racing will be the second to introduce their livery four days later.

Then between January 23 and 24, it was the Ducati factory team's turn to launch the team. Then Prima Pramac Racing Ducati, reinforced by Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin, will launch on January 25.
