JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent has passed the gold medal target at the 2022 Wushu Junior World Championships. This is thanks to the addition of one gold medal won by the Red and White team on the third day, Thursday, December 8.

The additional gold medal was presented by Annasera Zahraa Haryoso who took part in the Junior C Putri group. He won the Changquan gold medal with 9.136 points.

This additional one point makes the Indonesian contingent have collected seven gold medals. This exceeds the target of six gold medals launched by the Indonesian Wushu Executive Board (PB WI)

"Alhamdulillah, we can add one gold, two silver and one bronze, extraordinary. Now, we have exceeded the target by winning seven gold, two silver and one bronze medals," said Chef de Mission of the Indonesian Wushu Contingent, Doddy Rahadi, as reported by the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In addition to winning gold medals, Indonesia also added two silver medals and one bronze on the third day.

Ivana Liestio who took part in the Junior A Putri group won the Gunshu (Toya) silver medal with 9.236 points. Another silver medal was produced by Josh Tiasto Tanto from Nangun in the men's Junior A group with 9,176 points.

Even though it has exceeded the target, the Indonesian contingent is not satisfied. Indonesia's opportunity to add three gold medals is still quite open from Taolu's number. "We still have the opportunity to add 3 more gold medals," explained Herman Wijaya, Manager of the Taglu Team of the Indonesian Wushu Contingent, Herman Wijaya.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian contingent did not only exceed the target set, but was also leading the medal standings. Of course, this position is expected to be maintained until the end of the tournament.
