YOGYAKARTA The final series of 76 Indonesian Downhill 2022 will be staged at Ternadi Bike Park, Kudus, Central Java. The mountain bike racing competition will be held on December 10 and 11.

Ternadi Bike Park Has the Most Extreme Obstacle

Ternadi Bike Park which is located at the foot of Mount Muria has a track length of 2.3 km and a track width of 1.5 meters. In addition, it is also registered in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) category C1.

This means that this track has the most extreme terrain or obstacle, both in terms of elevation (levels) and in terms of track.

The downhill track of Ternadi Bike Park is at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level (masl) at start points and 600 meters above the finish line.

One of the most extreme obstacle sections is the rock garden at the end of the track, which tests downhiller adrenaline both in terms of stamina and strategy selection to beat the track.

The manager of Ternadi Bike Park, Sudarmono, said Ternadi Bike Park was built in 2016 for approximately three months without using heavy equipment.

He added that the construction of the downhill track was done manually by human hands. However, the security system along the track already has UCI eligibility standards or world standards.
