FIFA Arang Supporter Wears Cross Army Clothing In England Against America

JAKARTA - FIFA forbids supporters from wearing cross-border clothes when watching the second match of Qatar's 2022 World Cup Group B between Britain and the United States. The match will take place on Saturday morning WIB, at Staduin Al Bayt, Al Khor, Qatar.

The Times reported that the international football parent confirmed the supporters who were desperate to wear the clothes, carried plastic swords, and shields with the St cross. George will certainly not be allowed to enter the Al Bayt Stadium.

"Those dressed as Cross soldiers in the Arabic context can offend Muslims," the report quoted a statement from FIFA as reported by ITV on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Recently, a video circulated on Twitter showing a British supporter not being allowed into the stadium because he was dressed in a cross soldier. The moment most likely came when the Three Lions won over Iran in the first match.

The ban is because the costume has the potential to offend local residents in Qatar regarding the Wars of the 1095 and 1291 Crosses. This is a war that involved Christian soldiers while seizing Jerusalem and its surrounding areas from Islamic rule.

The video makes the anti-discrimination group Kick It Out also open its voice. They suggested that fans should not wear crosseswark costumes.

"We will advise fans attending World Cup matches not to wear certain clothes, such as costumes representing Saabs or crossmen for not being accepted in Qatar and other Islamic countries," said a Kick It Out spokesman.

"As the British Foreign Office said, issued before the tournament, that fans should get used to local habits, and we will encourage fans to follow that directive," the statement continued.

England currently dominates the top of the standings with a collection of three points. If you take home three points against America then Gareth Southgate's squad will definitely qualify for the knockout stages.
