Fajar/Rian's Confidence Increases After Defeating Kevin/Marcus In Denmark Open 2022 Final

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, won the Denmark Open 2022. They defeated their compatriots, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon in the final, Sunday, October 23.

Mental quality and high self-confidence are the keys. The BWF sixth-ranked pair were not afraid to face the Minions.

Fajar/Rian know that facing Kevin/Marcus will not be easy. In fact, in the previous match, they felt how tough it was to compete against the Minions.

"Moreover, we practice together," Fajar said after the match, as quoted by Antara.

This title is Fajar/Rian's fourth in 2022. Previously, they had won the Swiss Open (Super 300), Indonesia Masters (Super 500), and Malaysia Masters (Super 500).

This achievement has not been added to the three runners-up, with two of them from the Korea Open and Thailand Open Super 500 level tournaments, as well as the Super 750 Malaysia Open.

"We are grateful to be able to win the match at the Denmark Open 2022 and win the title. Hopefully this victory will increase our confidence in both of us in the next tournament," said Fajar.

Victory at the Denmark Open is also an important capital to compete in the Paris Olympics qualification which will start next year. They are believed to be enlivening the competition market in top-level tournaments.

"Obviously this title means a lot because next year there will be a collection of points for the Olympics," said Rian.

"Certainly our title at the Denmark Open can add confidence and consistency to both of us. Hopefully next year we can be consistent and even better," he concluded.
