Bagnaia's High Price For Ambition To Chase Quartararo

JAKARTA - Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia, had to swallow the bitter pill in the Japanese MotoGP race, Sunday, September 25. He failed to get a point after falling.

Ironically again, Bagnaia fell a few corners before the finish. Yes, the incident happened on the last lap.

He fell because he was too ambitious to overtake Quartararu at Turn 3. The Italian rider slipped during a maneuver.

"My mistake was too big," said Bagnaia after the race, as reported by the official MotoGP website.

"I did not maneuver well, and fortunately did not hit Fabio. I was too ambitious," continued Valentino Rossi's student.

Bagnaia started the race from the 12th position. He was able to move up to a ninth position near the end of the race.

As he was about to pass Quartararo in front of him, he made a mistake. Now, he wants to lament his mistake and not repeat it again in the next race.

"For him, Fabio only got eight points," he said.

Currently, Bagnaia is 18 points adrift of Quartararo who is still at the top of the standings with 218 points. With four races remaining, the opportunity to reverse the position is still open.
