JAKARTA - Liverpool will have their second Champions League Group A match against Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday, September 14 in the morning WIB.

Ahead of the meeting at Anfield Stadium, coach Jurgen Klopp reported the latest condition of his squad. Quoted from the Mirror, Klopp confirmed, Andy Robertson will be absent until after the international break due to the injury suffered in Liverpool's last 1-4 defeat in Napoli.

Injury, Robbo (Robertson) is now not 100 percent, it was too late, in the 93rd minute or whatever, he really felt it the next day alone. But yes, he came out at least until after the international break," said the German coach.

Klopp also said that Curtis Jones was still not available for the match later. However, there is good news from the Reds about Fabio Carvalho where the young playmaker can already train and has the opportunity to appear in the match against Ajax.

Since experiencing a calf injury in pre-season, Jones has not played for the Reds at all until their last Premier League game. The player was put on the bench against Newcastle last month, but since then he has experienced repeated problems.

Meanwhile, Carvalho is also said to be in good condition after suffering an injury while helping the team against Everton earlier this month. Having missed a trip to Naples, the 19-year-old has made an impressive start.

The return of Carvalho will be welcomed by Klopp although he has not been confirmed whether to play or not in the match against Ajax. Another Liverpool player who has fought an injury is Naby Keita. The midfielder suffered a serious hamstring injury in pre-season.

Just like Jones, Keita has never featured this season. This makes Klopp not expect too much from this player.

"We have to make a decision and that's why he (Keita) is not with us (in the Champions League squad)," Klopp said.

With his injuries, Robertson will clearly join a list of long-term injuries such as Keita, Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, Jordan Henderson, and Caoimhin Kelneck.

Its position will most likely be replaced by Kostas Tsimikas.
