Legendary Waves Coming, Rip Curl Padang Padang Cup 2022 Begins

BALI - The world-class surfing competition, Rip Curl Padang Padang Cup 2022 officially starts today, Thursday, August 4th. The long-awaited legendary wave has finally appeared.

The waves that hit the southern coast of Bali were considered to have met the world-class requirements needed to start the competition.

There were 16 of the world's best surfers taking part, including the hosts' representatives. They are ready to brave the depths of the waves of the legendary Padang-Padang.

They are predicted to fight in the toughest waves to hit Indonesia this season, according to the organizers.

The competition starts with round 1 at 06.45 Bali time. This loop will continue until the sun goes down.

Later, the eight surfers with the highest combined total scores from rounds 1 and 2 will advance to the semifinals. There are only four surfers who will qualify for the final and fight for the 2022 Padang Padang Cup title.
