Crazy! Hamilton's Salary Of IDR 589 Billion Per Year In F1 Is 53 Times That Of The Lowest-paid Driver

JAKARTA - Lewis Hamilton's status as a leading F1 driver clearly has a big influence on the salary he receives. Recent reports suggest that he earns 53 times more than the lowest-paid racer.

The latest data revealed by Top10 Casinos puts Hamilton in the top position regarding the amount of salary received. He passed away his competitors in the land jet race.

The source detailed that the 37-year-old driver received 32,847,060 pounds or IDR 589.8 billion per year. That nominal is 53 times more than that received by Alpha Tauri driver Yuki Tsunoda, which is 615,882 pounds (Rp11 billion) per season.

With such a large total wage, Hamilton can be said to receive 1,493,048 pounds per race, 28,712 pounds per lap and 7,845 pounds per mile.

Meanwhile, George Russell as Hamilton's teammate at Mercedes is far below the salary standings. He only occupies the 13th position with an income of 4,105,883 pounds. In the same position is Alpine's Pierre Gasly.

In the salary standings, the second position is occupied by defending F1 champion Max Verstappen. The driver who strengthens Red Bull receives a fee of 20,539,413 pounds per year.

Fernando Alonso and Lando Norris complete the top three. Both earned £16,423,530 each from Alpine and McLaren.

Hamilton and Mercedes are currently preparing to race at the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. In this place Hamilton has only won once in 2016.

If Hamilton manages to finish in the top two in Austria then it opens his chances of passing Russell on the drivers' standings. If that scenario happens then he can also close the gap with the Ferrari duo Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

Previously, Hamilton claimed a third podium at Silverstone on Sunday. He finished behind Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez. It was his third consecutive podium after he previously finished in the same place at the Canadian GP.

Hamilton is currently in sixth place in the drivers' standings with a collection of 93 points. He was flanked by two of his compatriots George Russell in fifth place and Lando Norris in seventh place.
