JAKARTA — Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is ready to end Gennady Golovkin's career when the two enter the ring for their third fight on September 17 this year at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, USA.

The boxer from Mexico just lost to Dmitry Bivol in May. For that, he came with high motivation to win over Golovkin.

“This fight is very important for me because I just lost. Everything revolves around this fight, he has spoken a lot about me and I am looking forward to returning to the ring and ending Golovkin's career," Alvarez said.

"I'm more motivated now because I just lost. Everything about my comeback really motivated me," he continued.

The two fighters are finally back in the ring after years of trying to schedule their trilogy. The two last fought in a second fight which took place in September 2018.

At that time Canelo managed to come out victorious and won the middleweight title after winning points. The achievement cost Golovkin the first title of his professional career.

Canelo, who won at that time, was entitled to take home the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO super middleweight titles. He will try to defend the title in a rematch with Golovkin later.

“To be a part of my sport or any other sport, obsessed with winning. That's the only mentality you have. Obviously I'm obsessed with winning. Winning or losing is part of it, but you are always prepared to win. That's my way," Canelo said.
