JAKARTA - UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal has set his sights on the fight against Conor McGregor. The American boxer thinks he can end The Notorious' career.

Masvidal's previous fight was a loss to Colby Covington and, as a result, he targeted the injured McGregor as a way to get back on track.

McGregor is recovering from a broken leg and he lost three of his four UFC fights before the injury.

Now, the Irish fighter is carefully choosing who he will fight for his comeback and what discipline he will apply. Many felt this was going to be a UFC fight.

Speaking to The Sun, Masvidal was very clear about how he thought he could end The Notorious's UFC career if they fought.

"He's not going to be able to say he dropped me and held me, he's going to say, this guy knelt on my ribs, elbowed me in the eye sockets and then knocked me down," Masvidal was quoted as saying by Marca on Wednesday.

"That wouldn't look good on his name. I didn't even see him going to fight me, to be honest. But moreover, if he fought me, I don't think he would fight anymore after that."

Masvidal also doesn't shy away from the fact that he will earn more money from the fight against McGregor than any other opponent.

"I thought as long as my bank account was used, I would make a lot of money beating this midget, so why not?" he says.

"Then, after that, there were lots of other fights to get his due and fight with the best in the world, like Gilbert Burns, whoever holds the belt.

"There are some people on the private side that I just got. No matter what, we will go back there and destroy it again."
