Will Appear At Malaysia Open 2022, Apri/Fadia Pockets Capital After Reading Field Situation

JAKARTA - Indonesian women's doubles badminton players, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva will be one of Indonesia's representatives at the 2022 Malaysia Open. Ahead of the performance, both of them already have enough capital to show good performance because they have pocketed the field situation.

Malaysia Open 2022 will take place from 28 June -3 July at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Malaysia. Before competing, both of them had time to undergo training where it was a moment of adaptation to find out the situation on the field.

"The field is windy and the ball can be fast sometimes, sometimes slow, so we have to know what pattern we have to play. The anticipation is like that," said Apriyani after undergoing training at the Axiata Arena in an official statement received by VOI.

By knowing the wind direction and field conditions, Apri/Fadia will use it as a valuable asset when performing later.

Although Apriyani said that the wind was erratic, it did not hinder their enthusiasm to perform optimally. They admit that they are ready and will try to make the obstacles as evaluation material.

"We are ready to compete. There will definitely be obstacles but we will use them as a test for how we can play," he continued.

Before appearing at the Malaysia Open, Apri/Fadia were able to record good results in two tournaments that took place in Indonesia. When they appeared at the Indonesia Masters they reached the final and at the Indonesia Open they qualified for the semifinals.

Reflecting on the two tournaments, Fadia confirmed his determination to return to performing well until he reached the final round of the tournament.

"The target is definitely to give the best. We want to go to the semifinals first but we still have to focus on one match after another," said Fadia.

In the first round of the Malaysia Open 2020, April/Fadia will face German doubles, Stine Kuespert/Emma Moszczynski in the first round. Apart from them, the Indonesian women's doubles sector will also be enlivened by the appearances of Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi and Febby Valencia/Ribka Sugiarto.
