Injury Destroys Pramudya's Hope/Yeremia Seizes Indonesia Open 2022 Semifinal Tickets That Are Already In Front Of Our Eyes

JAKARTA — The men's doubles of Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Rambitan had to run aground in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2022. This failure was mainly due to the injury that befell Yeremia at the decisive moment.

Jeremiah suffered an injury to his left foot during a 20-18 lead over Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik. Jeremiah still forced to appear with Pramudya, but unfortunately failed to maintain the lead.

The semifinal ticket that was in sight was lost after losing 20-22 in the deciding game. Pramudya/Yeremia surrendered 21-14, 12-21, 20-22 from the Malaysian representative at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, 17 June 2022.

Pramudya/Yeremia actually started the match by pocketing two consecutive points. However, representatives of Malaysia managed to narrow the match with a thin advantage of 11-10 at the interval.

After the break, representatives of Indonesia chased and evened the score 12-12. After that, the 2022 Asian champion was not overtaken by five consecutive points and managed to close the game with a difference of seven points.

At the beginning of the second game, Aaron/Soh immediately stepped on the gas and spawned three. Despite being chased by the Indonesian pair 4-4 and 6-6, they still managed to take a narrow 11-10 lead at the break.

Pramudya/Jeremiah was really not free to produce numbers after that. They were only given the opportunity to add two points by the Malaysian pair.

The third game Pramudya / Jeremiah performed brilliantly and led the match from the start. Unfortunately, injuries forced Jeremiah to continue the fight in a limp.

As a result, Malaysia's representatives were able to take advantage of this condition to win the match and move on to the semifinals. This victory also avenged their defeat in the 2022 Asian Championship final.
