JAKARTA - UFC President Dana White reiterated his reluctance to do business involving Mixed Martial Arts fighters with professional boxers.

In an appearance on athlete platform NFT& Social Token Blockasset's podcast, where he shared a microphone with AJ Vaynerchuk and UFC DWCS commentator Lauro Sanko, the 52-year-old entrepreneur said professional boxing was broken.

"Every time I try to think about doing something with boxing, I say, 'Why would I want to do this to myself? You know what I mean, why do I want to have this nightmare?' That's why I didn't really do anything about it. It's a broken business that is an absolute nightmare to fix."

Apparently, Dana White did not see anything good from the Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather fight in the ring and with boxing gloves in August 2017.

On that occasion, The Notorious was defeated by an opponent who had retired from professional boxing. Money even made the referee stop the fight in the seventh round because a large number of his punches landed on his opponent's face.

Since then, the UFC manager has made it clear that exposing gladiators in the ring could end the business generated in the octagon.

Apart from that, another thing that White didn't like was the way boxers charged an unmatchable amount of money in martial arts.

"One of the big problems with boxing as well is that all these damn people get paid way too much, and every time they fight, they try to blackmail MMA fighters," White said.

Of course, Dana White must quickly solve the case of octagon idol Francis Ngannou, who is determined to prove his level against a boxing champion.

However, if the show is allowed to take place, White will repeat the bitter experience of years ago when McGregor fought Mayweather.
