After Kylian Mbappe, Now It's Rafael Leao's Turn That Makes Real Madrid Bite Their Fingers

JAKARTA - Real Madrid has to bite their fingers again. The reason, the player who became the target decided to stay with his club.

He is Rafael Leao who insists he is happy with AC Milan. Leao admitted that he was quite happy with the rumors of Real Madrid's interest.

It is known that Leao still has a contract with AC Milan until June 2024 and has a release clause of 150 million euros or approximately IDR 2.3 trillion.

"I am in Milan, I have two years left on my contract and I feel at home here. I am happy to hear that my Milan is not touched," said Leao, as reported by Antara from Italian Football.

"Rumors about Real Madrid are interested in making me happy, but I don't want to be arrogant. I am very proud to work with experienced players," he continued.

Previously, AC Milan sporting director Paolo Maldini described Leao as a 'diamond rough' and the player himself admitted it was a slow process for that potential to really come out.

"The first two years didn't go the way I wanted at Milan, but now I'm more mature and feel more confident," said Leao.

"I want to be a reference point for my club and national team. I hope to do great things in the future."

This season, Leao became one of the important pillars of AC Milan's return to win the Scudetto title after waiting for 11 years by recording 34 appearances in the Italian League with a contribution of 11 goals and 11 assists.

This is the second rejection received by Real Madrid. Previously, Kylian Mbappe also rejected Los Blancos' offer and chose to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
