Inter Milan Meets Juventus In The Coppa Italia Final, Simone Inzaghi: No Special Recipe

JAKARTA - Inter Milan will face Juventus in the 2021/2022 Coppa Italia final, Thursday, May 12 in the morning WIB at the Stadio Olimpico. It was clear that both teams were well prepared.

However, Inter Milan coach, Simone Inzaghi, said there was no special recipe that he prepared ahead of this peak party.

"There is no special recipe to win in the final," said Inzaghi as quoted by Football Italia.

Inter Milan and Juventus meeting in the Coppa Italia final is the fourth time this season. In the three meetings between the two teams, La Beneamata proved to be superior to Juventus with two wins and one draw.

Inter Milan secured the first victory with a score of 2-1 in the Italian Super Cup, last January. Furthermore, Inzaghi's team again won 1-0 over the Old Lady in Italy's Serie A last April.

With the experience of meeting Juventus on several occasions, Inzaghi admitted that he was quite familiar with the characteristics and style of the opponent's game. Even so, the former Lazio coach emphasized that everything could change in the Coppa Italia final.

According to him, the two previous wins will also not guarantee Inter can get the same result. For that, Inzaghi asked his foster children to put out 110 percent of their ability in this match

"We know the opponent how strong the opponent we are going to be. We have to show 110 per cent of our ability to be able to achieve the target of winning a second trophy this season. Small details will be the difference in the match,''said Inzaghi added.

The Italian coach then asked his players to forget about the situation of competing for the Scudetto title. He asked his team to focus fully on the Coppa Italia first.

"Right now, we can't think about the competition in Serie A. Maybe that's difficult to do. Besides that, I also think that it would be better if the Coppa Italia final was held after Serie A ended. However, with the current conditions, it is not a problem for us,''said Inzaghi.
