Premier League Results: Harry Kane And Son Heung Min Bring Tottenham Hotspur To Cripple Leicester City 3-1

JAKARTA - The duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min brought Tottenham Hotspur to beat Leicester City with a score of 3-1 in the 35th week of the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, Sunday 1 May 2022.

Kane scored first in the 22nd minute, Son scored twice in the 60th and 79th minutes for Tottenham Hotspur, while Leicester City reduced the score through Kelechi Iheanacho in the 90+1 minute, according to the English Premier League.

This victory brought Tottenham Hotspur up to fourth place in the standings with 61 points from 34 matches, while Leicester City was stuck in 11th position with 42 points from 33 matches.

In that match, Tottenham fielded a different formation than usual by keeping Dejan Kulusevski on the bench and fielding Lucas Moura, while Leicester were without midfielder James Maddison.

In the first half, Tottenham dominated the match and recorded 70 percent possession in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Tottenham were able to change the score to 1-0 in the 22nd minute through a header from Kane who took advantage of a free kick from Son.

After this goal was created, Leicester further improved the game and were able to match Tottenham, but until halftime, the score 1-0 for The Lilywhites' advantage remained.

In the second half, Tottenham decided to replace Moura with Kulusevski, precisely in the 55th minute.

This substitution went perfectly, where Kulusevski was able to create two assists which could be maximized by Son.

The two goals scored by Son were born through the kicks he released in the 60th and 79th minutes so that up to 80 minutes of the game, Tottenham were able to lead with a score of 3-0.

One minute into added time, Leicester could reduce the deficit to 1-3 with a goal scored by Iheanacho, however, the score lasted until the Premier League match was over.
