JAKARTA - PSSI has officially released 20 names of Indonesian U23 national team players who will appear at the 2021 SEA Games. A number of players who are active abroad, including Elkann Baggott, are also included in the list.

Previously, it was doubtful that Elkann Baggott could participate because he did not get permission to attend the training camp in South Korea. However, the player was finally able to join the team to appear at the 2021 SEA Games because League One was coming to an end.

Besides Elkann Baggott, the duo FK Senica, Egy Maulana Vikri and Witan Sulaeman were also included in the list. There are also Asnawi Mangkualam (Ansan Greeners) and Saddil Ramdani (Sabah FC).

"PSSI hopes that the Indonesian U-23 team can win the 2021 SEA Games. With this material and always working hard, disciplined and focused, PSSI is sure that this will be achieved," said PSSI chairman Mochamad Iriawan on the federation's official website.

Meanwhile, Ramai Rumakiek, who was declared to have recovered from his injury, was not selected. The player is reported to be returning to Papua in the near future.

"Rumakiek's journey is still long. He is still 20 years old and can strengthen the national team in other events. What is important now is that he recovers first," said Iriawan, last Friday.
